Founded in 2002 by US President Bill Clinton, CHAI is a global health organization committed to strengthening health systems and expanding access to care and treatment for HIV/AIDS, malaria and other illnesses. CHAI acts as a catalyst to mobilize new resources and optimize the impact of these resources to save lives.
In 2014, CHAI established a partnership with the Ministry of Health (MOH) in Lao PDR to provide technical assistance focused on strengthening the National Malaria Control Program (CMPE). The activities are focused on improving operational planning, epidemiological analysis, resource mobilization and supply management. In late 2017, CHAI plans to extend its current support for malaria elimination to the provinces of: Attapue.
